Before you reach out

Is my file uploaded to your servers?

No. MetadataEraser processes all files locally in your browser. We have no server infrastructure that receives or stores your files. You can verify this in your browser's Network tab.

My file didn't process correctly

Make sure you're using a supported format: JPEG, PNG, WEBP, or TIFF for images; PDF for documents; and .docx for Word files. The older .doc format is not supported. If you're seeing errors with a valid file, please email us with the file type and browser version.

Can I use MetadataEraser offline?

Yes. Visit the site once, and it will be available offline through your browser's PWA support. On Chrome or Edge, look for the install icon in the address bar.
